From a macro view, the intricate cardboard structure is my rendition of city planning in a futuristic setting. The community has square borders and different criss-cross patterns to transform the 2D background into a 3D relief model, suggesting breakthroughs. At the same time, from a microscopic point of view, my piece is a specified tool shelf. The shifting blocks provide countless possibilities of arrangement, which allows for freedom of thought for creativity.
When I shoot this model with a black frame on the back, I intentionally want to make the viewers forget the actual size of this piece, which is the underlying purpose of my artwork.
